As most former undergrads can attest, college students aren’t known for healthy sleep habits. Thankfully, any habit can be taught with the right guidance. We worked alongside Boston University on a handbook to dispel sleep myths so that students can get the rest they need.

You want busy students to pay attention to this guide. But it’s a sleep guide, which would make it strange to lean on loud colors or fonts that scream for attention. Instead, we used deep blues, soft cool tones, and pops of buttery yellow to make the guide soothing without being a snoozefest.

We want to bust sleep myths, and that starts with demonstrating how to get better rest. Our illustrations feature a diverse set of students in a charming, somewhat whimsical style that puts people at ease and allows them to see themselves getting better sleep.
This all culminated in a design that graced both the guide itself and packaging for a sleep kit. The kit included a sleep mask, ear plugs, bedtime tea, and other items to help sweeten people’s slumber.
